The Vibroverb is one of the most interesting and comparatively rare amplifiers of Fender’s Blackface era. Introduced in 1963, it was Fender’s first production amplifier to incorporate built-in reverb and vibrato, and its powerful 40-watt design quickly became a favorite among professional guitarists looking for exceptional headroom, clarity and depth.

What makes this example especially interesting is its original factory-installed JBL D130. The speaker carries the cone stamp 21057, an important detail for collectors and enthusiasts documenting the amplifier’s originality. Original JBL-equipped Vibroverbs are considerably rarer than examples fitted with the more commonly encountered Oxford speakers.

The AA763 circuit delivers the classic Blackface Fender character: powerful, articulate clean tones, generous headroom, sparkling highs and a full, authoritative low end. The combination of the Vibroverb circuit and JBL D130 produces an exceptionally clear and dynamic sound, with the D130 adding its characteristic efficiency, punch and extended frequency response.
