The Lemon & Ginger AMMO nite is a handmade germanium fuzz based on two original 1966 Mosrite Fuzzrite Gepedals from builder Eigo Matsuo’s personal collection.

Rather than creating a general interpretation of the Fuzzrite circuit, Eigo developed two individual AMMO nite voicings based on the distinct personalities of his vintage originals. Each version is identified by the potentiometer date code found inside the corresponding 1966 pedal.

Red 6623 – The Fuller-Sounding Version

The pedal offered here is the red 6623 version, based on Eigo’s original Fuzzrite Ge with a potentiometer code dating to the 23rd week of 1966.

Compared with the blue 6647 version, the red 6623 delivers a noticeably fuller bottom end. It retains the aggressive rasp, bite and unstable personality of a vintage germanium Fuzzrite while adding enough low-frequency weight to keep the sound powerful and substantial.

The alternative blue 6647 version has greater upper-midrange presence and slightly more gain; the red 6623 is the fuller and heavier-sounding of the two.

Expect snarling garage-rock chords, spluttering single-note leads and abrasive psychedelic textures with unmistakable vintage attitude.

This is not a smooth or polite modern fuzz. The AMMO nite celebrates everything that makes an original germanium Fuzzrite so exciting: immediacy, instability and raw character.

• Volume: Adjusts the overall output level

• Tone: Shapes the pedal’s tonal response, from fuller and darker to brighter and sharper

• SOUR switch: Produces a more gated response with additional bottom end

• Centre SOUR position: Standard/reference AMMO nite sound

• Outer SOUR positions: Alternative gated and low-end voicings

• Footswitch: Activates or bypasses the effect

• LED: Indicates when the effect is active

Power – Please Read Carefully

• External 9V DC power

• Centre-positive / tip-positive polarity

• Isolated power output strongly recommended

• Do not daisy-chain with conventional centre-negative pedals

The AMMO nite uses the opposite polarity from most modern guitar pedals. Use a correctly wired centre-positive adapter or a suitable polarity-reversing cable connected to an isolated 9V output.

Connecting it directly to a standard centre-negative power output may cause a short circuit or damage connected equipment.

A power supply is not included unless specifically stated.

Warranty

Lemon & Ginger offers free repair for qualifying operational defects within six months of purchase.

The customer is responsible for shipping costs unless an initial defect is reported within one week of receiving the pedal, in which case the builder also covers the applicable return shipping. Coverage remains subject to the builder’s warranty conditions and inspection.

Every Lemon & Ginger pedal—from circuit design and construction to its individually finished enclosure—is created entirely by Eigo Matsuo in Tokyo.

Small variations in the handmade finish and printing are natural characteristics of the production process and make every pedal unique.

For US orders with a value of up to US$2,500, we ship with Postal Delivered Duty Paid (PDDP) through Swiss Post.

The applicable PDDP costs are added to the product price for US customers only. To receive the correct final price, please contact us before checkout, and we will calculate the additional costs for you.

With PDDP, we take care of the applicable import and administration costs in advance, so you won't receive an additional PDDP charge upon delivery.

For orders over US$2,500, PDDP does not apply. The applicable US customs duties and fees will be billed directly to the US customer by US Customs.
