The DLS Effects Versa Vibe II is a fully analog, optical modulation pedal created for players who love the deep, swirling movement of a vintage Uni-Vibe but need considerably more control and flexibility.

From slow, gently rolling waves to thick psychedelic pulsation, the Versa Vibe II produces warm, organic modulation with the three-dimensional character associated with classic Hendrix, Robin Trower and David Gilmour sounds.

Unlike simpler vibe pedals, the Versa Vibe II provides dedicated controls for Rate, Depth, Waveform, Bass Throb, Vibe Blend and Volume. This extensive control set makes it possible to shape everything from smooth, liquid movement to abrupt, heavily throbbing vintage-style modulation.

Chorus and Vibrato modes

The Vibrato/Chorus switch changes the fundamental character of the effect:

• Chorus: Produces the rich, swirling sound traditionally associated with vintage Uni-Vibe effects
• Vibrato: Creates pure pitch-bending modulation with a more pronounced, seasick movement

The Vibe Blend control adds further flexibility in Chorus mode. Turn it clockwise for a stronger chorus effect or counter-clockwise to introduce more pitch-vibrato character.

Modern and Vintage voicing

The switchable voicing provides two distinct tonal personalities:

• Vintage: Thicker, deeper and chewier, with a more pronounced classic vibe character
• Modern: Brighter, clearer and slightly more open sounding

An internal brightness control allows the overall modulation tone to be further adjusted to suit different guitars, amplifiers and pedalboard combinations.

Fully adjustable modulation

The Versa Vibe II offers considerably more tonal control than a conventional three-knob vibe pedal:

• Rate: Sets the modulation speed
• Depth: Controls the intensity and depth of the effect
• Waveform: Changes the movement from smooth and rounded to abrupt and heavily pulsating
• Bass Throb: Adjusts the amount of low-frequency pulse
• Vibe Blend: Balances chorus and pitch-vibrato characteristics
• Volume: Sets the output from attenuation through to a useful lead boost

A flashing red LED provides a clear visual indication of the selected modulation rate.

Expression-pedal control

The dedicated expression input allows the modulation rate to be controlled in real time using a compatible external expression pedal.

This makes it possible to move naturally between slow, atmospheric swirls and faster, more intense modulation during a performance—without bending down to adjust the pedal.

Pure opto-analog design

The Versa Vibe II uses vintage-inspired optical technology rather than digital modelling. Its internal charge-pump circuit increases the operating voltage, providing additional headroom, warmth and clarity while helping prevent unwanted clipping.

The result is a dynamic and musical modulation effect that works equally well with clean tones, overdrive and fuzz.
