The 1964 Fender Vibroverb AA763 is one of the rarest and most desirable pre-CBS Fender amplifiers. Introduced in late 1963, it was the first blackface Vibroverb and remained in production only through 1964. The tube chart code “NA” identifies an amplifier assembled in January 1964 (“N” = 1964, “A” = January), making it one of the earliest production examples of the AA763 circuit.

The amplifier features Fender’s optical (“roach”) tremolo and tube-driven spring reverb, with both effects available only on the Vibrato channel.

This is a US-specification 117V amplifier, so a suitable step-down transformer will be required when used with European mains voltage.

JBL D130 15-Inch Speaker:

The JBL D130 is a high-efficiency Alnico 15-inch loudspeaker originally developed as a full-range transducer. Fender offered JBL speakers as premium upgrades, and very early Vibroverbs can be found with the D130 before the Fender-specific D130F designation became standard. Factory-installed only on some early examples.
