1962 Fender Deluxe 6G3 Brownface

A fantastic original 1962 Fender Deluxe 6G3, one of the most desirable amplifiers from Fender’s Brownface era.

With approximately 20 watts, two 6V6GT power tubes and bias-modulated tremolo, the 6G3 delivers warm cleans, strong mids, touch-sensitive compression and raw, harmonically rich overdrive when pushed.

Period-Correct Jensen Speaker

The amplifier is fitted with a vintage Jensen C12NF replacement speaker dating from late 1962.

This is an authentic period-correct Jensen, but it is not the speaker originally installed in this amplifier.

Servicing and Replaced Parts

The amplifier has been professionally serviced. Work and replacement parts include:

• New power cord and solid plug
• Reproduction leather handle
• Reproduction footswitch
• Selected filter capacitors and resistors replaced
• One later replacement tone potentiometer
• New speaker cable and jack
• Professionally reconed speaker

The damaged original tube chart was replaced with a correct custom-made reproduction from Northstage, UK.

Cabinet and Grill Cloth

The amplifier now wears rare, correct vintage wheat grill cloth. This is genuine vintage material, but it was not originally fitted to this particular amplifier. It replaces the reproduction Oxblood cloth installed when the amp was acquired.

There are several small holes beneath the cabinet from previously installed additional feet. The inside of the bottom panel was also painted clear blue at some point. Neither issue affects operation.
