The Lemon & Ginger Fuzzman (1st) is an unconventional analogue octave fuzz designed to interact with overdrive, distortion and other fuzz pedals.

Unlike most traditional fuzz pedals, which are normally placed at the beginning of the signal chain, the Fuzzman was created to sit directly after your distortion section. Its Balance control blends the wet octave-fuzz signal with the dry signal coming from the pedals placed before it.

Move the Balance control toward Wet for more of the Fuzzman’s octave-fuzz character, or toward Dry to retain more of the original drive sound. This makes it an exceptionally creative tool for producing layered, harmonically complex textures.

The Fuzzman can also be placed at the beginning of the signal chain. Boosting it with an overdrive placed after it produces a bigger low end and thick, muscular blues-rock tones reminiscent of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

Why “1st”?

Eigo Matsuo plans to revisit the Fuzzman concept every few years, making subtle changes to its appearance, circuit and components.

Inspired by the many historical versions of pedals such as the RAT and Big Muff, each Fuzzman generation will have its own identity and character.

Only 50 examples of the original Fuzzman (1st) were produced, and this exact specification will never be made again. This is the first chapter in the Fuzzman story and a particularly collectible early Lemon & Ginger pedal.

For US orders with a value of up to US$2,500, we ship with Postal Delivered Duty Paid (PDDP) through Swiss Post.

The applicable PDDP costs are added to the product price for US customers only. To receive the correct final price, please contact us before checkout, and we will calculate the additional costs for you.

With PDDP, we take care of the applicable import and administration costs in advance, so you won't receive an additional PDDP charge upon delivery.

For orders over US$2,500, PDDP does not apply. The applicable US customs duties and fees will be billed directly to the US customer by US Customs.
