The DLS Effects RotoSPIN delivers the dynamic swirl, low-end pulse and complex movement of a genuine vintage rotary-speaker cabinet in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format.

Designed for guitarists seeking classic Leslie-style rotary sounds and the focused movement of a Fender Vibratone, the RotoSPIN combines separate simulations of the rotating tweeter horn and bass rotor. These elements can be adjusted individually, allowing you to recreate different cabinet sizes, microphone positions and degrees of Doppler-style pitch movement.

From slow, atmospheric rotation to fast, swirling modulation, the RotoSPIN responds like a mechanical rotary system rather than a conventional chorus pedal.

Independent fast and slow speeds

Dedicated Slow Speed and Fast Speed controls let you set two independent rotation rates.

The Fast/Slow footswitch changes between them, while the adjustable Ramp control determines how quickly the simulated rotors accelerate or decelerate. This creates the organic transition that is such an important part of a real rotary-speaker sound.

Tweeter and bass-rotor control

The two rotor sections can be shaped independently:

• Tweeter Intensity: Controls the upper-rotor movement, swirl, width, Doppler effect and perceived microphone distance
• Bass Rotor Level: Adjusts the low-frequency throb and the balance of the bass rotor

Together, these controls make it possible to dial in everything from a tighter Vibratone-style sound to the broader, more dramatic movement of a large rotary cabinet.

Switchable overdrive

The built-in overdrive adds the grit, compression and edge associated with vintage tube-powered rotary-speaker amplifiers.

Use the RotoSPIN clean for clear, spacious modulation or engage the overdrive for warmer, dirtier and more aggressive rotary textures. The dedicated Gain control determines how much drive is added.

Mono or wide stereo operation

The RotoSPIN provides two differently voiced outputs:

• Output A: Fuller and thicker
• Output B: Brighter and more cutting
• Outputs A and B together: Wide stereo rotary image

This makes the pedal equally useful with a conventional mono guitar amplifier, two-amp stage setup or stereo recording rig. DLS documents the thicker Output A, brighter Output B and dual-output stereo configuration in the official manual.
