Serial # 131892
Condition: Very Good
Upgrades / modifications:
- Two little screw holes from another bridge installed long ago, back to original, its almost not visible
- Nothing else
Cosmetic condition:
- Used but not abused, there are some normal signs of playing and performing, on one low end side the finish is a bit used up on a small area, looks like it comes from standing on a guitar stand again and again, but no big deal, please check all pics for details.
Loved by countless top artists including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, Geddy Lee, and more.
- The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model of the Precision Bass
This model is a Fender Jazz Bass made in early 1966, w/ no binding & dot neck, the fretboard is made of the rare Paduak wood
Technical Description:
Early 1966 Fender Jazz Bass featuring a dot-position-marked, unbound neck with a distinctive padauk (paduak) fingerboard. The neck retains the earlier visual characteristics associated with the transition period of the mid-1960s, including dot position markers rather than the later pearl-block inlays and the absence of binding along the fingerboard edges.
The Paduak fingerboard is constructed from a highly figured, naturally reddish-orange/brown hardwood with a pronounced grain pattern. The contrasting color and grain give the neck a distinctive appearance compared with the more commonly encountered rosewood fingerboards of the period.
The neck carries the characteristic Jazz Bass profile and 34-inch (864 mm) Fender scale length, with the traditional four-string configuration. The fingerboard is fitted with the standard Fender fret layout and dot markers, without the rectangular block inlays that became characteristic of later Jazz Bass necks.
