1966 Fender Jazz Bass Sunburst | Vintage Fender Bass

1966 Fender Jazz Bass Sunburst — Rare Padauk Fingerboard

A fascinating early-1966 Fender Jazz Bass featuring its original Sunburst nitrocellulose finish, rare padauk fingerboard, original electronics, hardware, frets and Fender case.

The unbound maple neck with pearloid dot markers represents the earlier Jazz Bass specification, before Fender introduced binding and block inlays later in the 1960s. Its reddish-brown padauk fingerboard and distinctive grain make this an especially unusual vintage example.
