Brief History:

The Fender Deluxe model debuted in 1946, but the 5E3 circuit, introduced in 1955, represents the final and most iconic version of the tweed-era Deluxes. It was manufactured until 1960, after which Fender transitioned to the brownface and later blackface circuits.

The 1957 model is particularly prized by collectors and musicians due to its “golden year” status—during this period, Fender had refined the build quality and tonal characteristics. Its popularity soared decades later, being used or replicated by artists like Neil Young and countless boutique amp builders.

This amp when used solely with a guitar is pure and instantly achieves what is known worldwide as the “Tweed sound”

The 5E3 circuit is celebrated for its warm midrange, smooth overdrive, and dynamic response, making it a favorite among blues, rock, and roots guitarists.
