1960 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst
Serial number 74776
Description:
Iconic, all original 1960 Fender Stratocaster in faded red sunburst is a gorgeous example of a vintage Stratocaster. As you can see, it has been well played on many stages in its long career. Do you remember Hemingway’s “The Old Man and the Sea”? Santiago the wise old fisherman with plenty of scares in his face, it does remind me of him…pure mojo!
The pencil date on the neck reads September 1960, and has a slim V-shape to it, with a Brazilian “slab” rosewood fingerboard. The original frets are in perfect unworn condition. The neck feels fantastic and is a joy to play!
The mint green pickguard and all other plastic parts are clean and crack-free.
There are 3 black-bottom pickups, and the pots and 3-way switch are untouched with original factory soldering.
Most importantly this is a awesome sounding vintage guitar with a full/warm quality to it, and bell-like strat tone…..This one has got it all!
Comes with original 1962 brown tolex case is in good condition for its age, with orange interior plush lining.
This guitar is featured in the “Werner’s list”.
