1966 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst
Serial # 167744
Condition: Very Good
Upgrades / modifications:
A pristine refret incl. new bone nut, some cleaning & a top setup, professionally done by luthier Enrico Crippa > Sound City Guitar Repair from Piacenza IT
Also, and to be mentioned, one solder joint on the pot was freshened up as you can see at the last solder joint pic. However, all electronics, pickups etc. are original.
Note:
The letters DMR which are hand written in red over the pickup cavity area declares that this guitar got a color + lacquer correction at the lower edge on the backside of the body. Done by a Fender employee at the time, it is factory original. Visible only under blacklight, see pics.
While these letters are almost unknown on Fender vintage guitars sold in the USA, several guitars with this kind of declaration were sent to the European market, that means they went almost all to export, this particular guitar was sold in Italy at the time.
