1964 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst

Serial number L26134

Condition: VERY GOOD – nicely conserved mid 64′ L-Series example

Upgrades/modifications: pro re-fret, bone nut, 5-way switch, volume kit,  tremolo backplate, original tremolo arm, original 1964 mint green PG.

Description:

Nicely shaped by playing music but still quite clean with a gorgeous looking finish!

The neck stamp reads 2 March 64 B and the C-shape maple neck, with Brazilian rosewood veneer fingerboard does feel great and features a medium size re-fret in perfect condition, also it got a new bone nut.

Original celluloid mint green pickguard. All plastic parts are clean and crack-free. I got this guitar with a non-original tremolo arm and without tremolo backplate, so I added these time-period correct parts, including the original screws and springs to it, it is complete and very nice, just the way it should.

There are 3 black-bottom pickups, and the pots are untouched with original factory soldering.

Someone has installed a “volume kit” in the past, which was done to keep the “highs” if the volume is turned down, it’s only 2 small capacitors added on, it’s not disturbing any original soldering, but I wanted to mention it since it is a minor modification.

The 3-way switch was professionally changed for a 5-way switch.

This guitar does sound awesome with full rich and warm tones. It’s a real vintage working horse with lots of mojo, it’s a very versatile instrument and it is rare and collectible because of the low number made in 1964.

The original black no logo case with orange plush lining is in good condition for its age, just the handle cares some black tape around.
