Phenomden
Phenomden has been synonymous with authentic music from Switzerland for over 20 years. With his unmistakable voice, lyrics mostly in dialect and touching lyrics that reflect his environment, he has shaped the scene.
His sound combines reggae and soul, blends retro with modern elements and is always danceable. Live he convinces with a charismatic stage presence and with an honest energy - music that connects, is fun and touches.
During 2010 Phenomden took a time out to delve into reggae on site in Kinsgton, Jamaica, where he spent 7 years immersing himself in local life and the music scene.
2025, Phenomden produced his sixth studio album, Casino True Love, together with his long-time companions The Scrucialists. It combines depth, lightness, and warmth. Thematically, the new work moves between self-reflection, processing loss, and the search for hope.
Phenomden sings of the trust that one can start anew despite a broken heart. The result is an album that connects the personal with the universal.
On the actual tour, they are bringing new and older songs to the stage, their performances are amazing, they thrill their audience in a boiling atmosphere.
Check out the videos below which I shot myself, on December 4th of 2025, when I was invited to his hometown concert, in the Zurich X-TRA.
If you have the opportunity...go see Phenomden live in concert!
Collaboration
Myself, I am a fan since many years!
Phenomden...his authentic- profound and positive music accompanied me tru various stages of my life, his uplifting- upbeat tunes were always supporting and motivating me, and they still do.
A few years ago, it so happened that we met, Dennis contacted me since he was interested in vintage guitar gear which he could use for new recordings.
Fortunately, I was able to introduce him to the early '60s Fender surf-sound units...to pulsing- organic tremolos from tube-amplifiers...to bright & shimmery tube-driven spring-reverbs w/ its warm and rich character...may those inspire him and expand his archive of tones.
I can't wait to hear your new music in the future.
Thank you for your friendship.
