1961 Gibson Maestro RT-1 Reverb-Echo – Vintage Tube Amplifier

A fantastic 1961 Gibson Maestro RT-1 Reverb-Echo vintage tube amplifier in very good cosmetic condition and excellent working order.

This compact early-1960s Maestro features a tweed-covered cabinet, 8″ Electrola speaker and switchable/adjustable tremolo. It produces a warm, mellow vintage tone at lower volumes, with natural tube compression and increasingly dirty, gritty breakup when pushed beyond around 5.

The RT-1 is particularly appealing for recording, home use and studio work, where its low-wattage design allows you to achieve authentic vintage tube breakup without the huge volume of a larger amplifier.

The “Reverb-Echo” designation refers to the RT-1’s unusual external reverb arrangement, rather than a conventional built-in spring reverb system.

The amplifier has been serviced and fitted with a new safe 3-prong grounded power cord and plug. Please note that this is a 110V US amplifier.
