Upgrades/modifications: Tuners are a vintage set of Grover, original tuner marks are visible but not disturbing at all, it has its charme, and the quality of this tuners is fantastic. The wraparound tailpiece is a light weight Creamtone replacement. Refret with Jescar Fret Wire, slighty higher then the original frets, perfect action and playability. There is a very small finish touch-up, owed to a little filled hole next to the strap button, visible only under blacklight.
All work professionally done by luthier Enrico Crippa from Sound City – Piacenza IT.
Description:
Here is an amazing “Tobacco Sunburst” Gibson L.P. Jr from 1957, it has a few minor changes but is otherwise all original. The machine heads are a vintage set of Grovers, the wraparound tailpiece is a light weight Creamtone replacement. The guitar has a refret and has just been set up, the action is very comfortable, the intonation is good and the trussrod works fine. The original Tobacco Sunburst has a very cool looking finish checking and so lot’s of mojo. The Junior shows some good honest players wear with some scars of time on the front of the body, some heavier wear at the back of the body, some slight wear and tear on the neck and on the headstock. The P-90 is clear and bright, strong and punchy, great vintage feel and tone, It plays and sounds amazing. All electronics are original to 1957, both pots and caps are untouched, all plastics are original.
Comes in a nice black (no logo) vintage HSC with yellow interior in excellent condition.
