About me
Back in 1970s, as a kid I started listening to a certain show broadcasted every Sunday evening on the radio. They were playing Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Chuck Berry, and many others. I was fascinated by the sounds coming out of the speaker, and so my love for music and in particular for electric guitars was born. It did not take long, and I got my first guitar and I started to play myself.
Time passed, one day I listened to a vinyl called Texas Flood. I was blown away by the energy and the amazing tone of Stevie Ray Vaughan! From this moment on I wanted to know more about this sounds, about electric guitars and guys like Stevie, the 3 Kings and all the other cats.
I was in my early 20s when i dive in to show business, and soon, I worked as an owner of a catering company all over the world, for movies, for concerts, for a formula one racing team, and for many other cool events.
I’m grateful for all the amazing experiences and adventures I could be part of, also I got the chance to collaborate with several very talented artists of all kind over all those years, it allowed me to see behind the scenes, in a world full of creativity.
While I was on the road for work, sometimes I went spontaneously for “guitar safari”, meeting lots of cool people, i tracked down some nice vintage guitars at the time. That was in the early 90’s and it was lots of fun.
Vintage guitars...often I imagine when these guitars were played back then, in jazz and blues clubs, magic, and If I could travel back in time…I would indeed.
Since my passion for vintage guitars has always accompanied me in the past, I decided to dedicate my time into what I love the most, and so I created Fandango Guitars, in Lugano in the Ticino area.
Fandango Guitars is buying and selling guitars, amplifiers, and effect pedals from and to musicians, collectors, and aficionados, well selected and guaranteed authentic, exclusively what I would choose also for myself.
